چکیده
Cereal monocultures are very susceptible to many pests, especially those living on leaves, which largely affects yield by decreasing its quality. The most dangerous of them is the cereal leaf beetle (Oulema melanopus L.). In cases heavy infestation larvae, surface plants may be reduced 50%, and sometimes even 80%, with a main loss 10–25%. aim presented study was assess efficiency native isolate Steinernema feltiae (Filipjev, 1934) commercial preparation Larvanem (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora (Poinar, 1975)) in controlling larvae O. melanopus, reduce crops damage field. Nematodes were applied dosage 2 million IJs/m2 as suspension 11 litres per square metre. A hand sprinkler field lance flat-stream nozzles used for applications at lowest working pressure 3000 hPa. effectiveness both nematode species moderate: 47.8% S. 49.5% H. bacteriophora. biggest reduction found treated preparation, where index infection 32%, being more than twofold smaller that control.

Activity of entomopathogenic nematodes (Rhabditida) against cereal leaf beetle (Oulema melanopus [L.], Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) adults under laboratory conditions
In 2009, three Slovenian strains of entomopathogenic nematodes) and commercial product Entonem (active ingredient S. feltiae), were tested under laboratory conditions for their activity against adult cereal leaf beetles (Oulema melanopus). The nematode strains were tested at four different doses (250, 500, 1000, and 2000 infective juveniles/adult) and at three temperatures (15, 20, and 25 oC). ...

Endemism patterns in the Italian leaf beetle fauna (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae)
In this contribution the results of a zoogeographical analysis, carried out on the 123 endemic leaf beetle species (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) occurring in Italy and its immediately adjacent regions, are reported. To assess the level of faunistic similarity among the different geographic regions studied, a cluster analysis was performed, based on the endemic component. This was done by calculat...
متن کاملInteractions over time between cereal leaf beetle (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) and larval parasitoid Tetrastichus julis (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) in Utah.
The phenology of parasitism of the cereal leaf beetle, Oulema melanopus (L.) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) by Tetrastichus julis (Walker) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) was studied in small grain fields from 2000 to 2005 in northern Utah, after release and redistribution of the partially bivoltine larval parasitoid during the 1990s. Host larvae first occurred in May, with peak infestation typically oc...

The cottonwood leaf beetle, Chrysomela scripta F., is a serious defoliator of plantation Populus in the United States. Current control methods include biorational and synthetic chemicals as well as selecting Populus clones resistant or tolerant to C. scripta defoliation. SpeciÞc ratios of long-chain fatty alcohols to alpha-tocopherylquinone ( -TQ) on the leaf surface of Populus spp. act as phag...
